Athletics events stole the show at Pontypridd Council's Air Show on Whit Monday 1960. By their conduct and sportmanship the athletes were a credit to Welsh Athletics and the people of Pontypridd were quick to show their appreciation.

The 76th Welsh Senior XC Champs held at a cold, wet and windy Swansea on

of an anti climax.
Steve Jones and Tony Simmons broke away from the field and decided to
run in together to create the first ever dead heat in the history of the race.
The aim is to list the overall top 100 and then top 50 for all
the age groups and for all the field events
As the All Time Lists do not include indoor performances, a decision has been made to try and produce all time lists for indoors. This has proved to be horrendously difficult! For many years there were no indoor rankings at all and you only found out about an indoor performance if it happened to be better than the outdoor performance. It has meant ploughing through old copies of Athletics Weekly, old results of meetings and NUTS booklets.
The indoor season runs from October to March. It is important to remember, as far as the U13, U15 and U17 age groups are concerned, that during the indoor season an athlete competes in the age group he/she would be in the following summer. Over age performances have not been used. U20 and U23 athletes are different because they remain in their age group until the 31 Dec of their final year. This means they can compete as U20/U23 until the 31 Dec and then switch to the higher age group on the 1 Jan.
We are in the process of amending the U20/U23 lists to reflect this.
Please note that in recent years there have been some indoor performances recorded during the summer season, usually because the event was moved indoors due dangerous outdoor weather conditions.
Apologies in advance if there are any errors.
Please send us any amendments and once confirmed they can be added.
